SEV (1)Universitas Brawijaya Electrical Engineering (TEUB) contributes to the development of environmentally friendly electric vehicles. In the Science and Technology Development event entitled Indonesia Supermoto Championship (ISC) 2018 in collaboration with UB and Eslinore which was held in UB Dieng 9 September 2018, TEUB introduced Smart Electric Vehicle (SEV).

TEUB SEV Electric Kart (E-Kart) is a prototype of the first smart electric vehicle from UB developed by UB electric vehicle research group. This study involved TEUB lecturers, including Sholeh Hadi Pramono, Waru Djuriatno, Eka Maulana, Wijono, Fakhry Hario, and Raden Arief Setyawan with the help of several students.

“This is the first step for a transportation system that is energy efficient and environmentally friendly,” said Eka Maulana.

E-Kart that is developed since 2015, uses a 12pk electric motor drive system with a 72-84 volt voltage from a lithium battery. Currently, the team is still developing an intelligent navigation system and controlling and monitoring wirelessly through Android-based smartphones.

SEV (2)“While having this activity (ISC, red) we introduce and test it as a Formula-E initiation in Indonesia,” said Dr. Sholeh Hadi Pramono who is also the chief executive of the ISC.

Regarding this ISC, he also added that this activity was held as an event to promote Racing Circuit of UB 2 Dieng as well as observing racing supporting instruments (timing system and video streaming). More broadly this activity is also a place to build community in the field of automotive, entertainment, and education in the supermoto field. (mic)
