IMG_9788Opening 2018, 144 administrative staff across the work unit and departments in the Faculty of Engineering Universitas Brawijaya (FT-UB) were gathered at the Prof. Ir Suryono auditorium, 2nd floor of FT Building to introduce the new Vice Deans who inaugurated on December 28, 2017, ago. Dr. Ir Pitojo Tri Juwono, MT, as the Dean invites the Vice Deans to sit on the front.

One by one the Dean then introduced each Vice Dean. Beginning with Ishardhita Pambudi Tama, ST., MT., Ph.D., as Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, Dr. Ir. Ruslin Anwar, MSi as Vice Dean for General Administration and Finance, and Dr. Ir. Eng Denny Widhiyanuriawan, ST., MT., as Vice Dean for Student Affairs, period of 2017-2021, Tuesday (2/Jan/2018).

In his speech, the Dean explained why he held this introductory event. According to him the election of the vice dean this time is a little bit different from the past period. In accordance with the rector’s decree, the vice dean selection process does not go through the election process. Vice Dean candidates are welcome to enroll, the Dean then recommends his choice and is decided through a senate meeting. With thus no introduction of candidates to FT public before.

“With a new election procedure, it worries me that the administrative staffs have not known the officials of this period. At least our meeting this morning could also serve as an official introduction between the administrative staffs and the new line of Vice Deans! “Said the Lecturer of Water Engineering Department.

“I also request that this event is made with an amiable atmosphere so that we can start the cooperation between leaders and the administrative staff with more kinship!” add the Dean who was elected in May last year this.

IMG_9763After Dean’s speech, the vice deans are welcome to introduce themselves to all member of the house. All three have a common ground expressing their desire to be able to build a good communication and integrative network. The vice deans also hope that this kind of event can be done regularly not only to maintain the togetherness within FT but to provide a media of aspiration. His hope in the future increasingly can improve the performance and service for the user and improve the welfare of the administrative staff. (emis/mic)
