WhatsApp Image 2019-03-13 at 14.50.46In order to foster entrepreneurial spirit and increase entrepreneurial activity for the student, the faculty of Engineering, Universitas Brawijaya (FT-UB) held an Entrepreneurship Workshop for the new student in the class of 2018/2019. The workshop was held in Samantha Krida Building, Universitas Brawijaya on March 12, 2019, with the theme of Success in Becoming an Entrepreneur Student.

“Actually, this activity is the responsibility of the engineering faculty, I hope student can explore interest & talent in all field including entrepreneurship. This workshop is part of the training of new student, how the student can take advantage of opportunities in the field of entrepreneurship,” said Deputy Dean for Student Affairs, Dr. Eng. Denny Widhinurirawan., ST., MT when opening the program that morning.

The Academic and Student Affairs section as the organizing committee brought in a young entrepreneur, Martalinda Basuki, S.A.P., the owner of the Chocolate Classic beverage company, as the speaker.

Entering the core event, the activity which was attended by all new student of the Faculty of Engineering was taken over by Redi Bintarto, ST., M.Eng.Pract as the moderator.

In his presentation, Martalinda Basuki conveyed the initial experience of starting a business, tips on getting up when failed, and how to build a strategy so that Classic Chocolate can be known by many people today.

“When a started this business, I use to sell motorbike and laptop for initial capital. There is a possibility of failure, but the most important point is how to get up and start again after failing,” said the FIA UB alumni.

Redi Bintarto as the moderator concluded that student who wants to start entrepreneurship should never be afraid of failure. In addition, entrepreneurship also benefits many people.

The afternoon activity ended with giving souvenir from the organizer to the guest. (tsv)
