fortei 2017Electrical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering Universitas Brawijaya (FT-UB) hosts the Working Meeting on the Electrical Engineering Education Forum (FORTEI) Regional VII, Saturday (9/Sep/2017). Attending the opening ceremony that morning, Muhammad Aziz Muslim, ST., MT., Ph.D as Chairman of the Department of Electrical Engineering FT-UB.

“With this annual meeting, it is expected that the competitiveness of FORTEI Regional VII members will increase so that it can become a reference for other Electrical Engineering institutions. Hopefully, the inter-institutional cooperation and good relationship can be maintained,” said Aziz Muslim when opening the event.

FORTEI itself is a communication place of Indonesia Electrical Engineering Higher Education for Undergraduates, Magister, Doctorate, and Diploma (Vocational)/Polytechnic. Members of this forum are Universities in Indonesia who have Electrical Engineering and Informatics Study Program.

The main activities of FORTEI are include aligning higher education of Electrical Engineering in Indonesia covering the fields of education, research, and technology application, as well as discussing national topics related to Electrical Engineering, concluding, giving inputs and solutions to government and stakeholders.

Taking the theme of Strengthening the Competitiveness of Electrical Engineering Study Program of FORTEI Regional VII, this annual activity invited three speakers. The first speaker was Prof. Ir. Mochamad Ashari, M. Eng., Ph.D., Rector of Telkom University Bandung with the material of FORTEI’s Role in Higher Education Design. The second speaker was from the host, UB, Ir Wijono MT PhD  who gave a material on Strengthening the Journal of FORTEI Regional VII Members, the last speaker was invited from Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) Surabaya, Dr. Adhi Dharma, ST., MT., who provides material on Strengthening Accreditation Through SPMI.
