adha2Welcoming Eid al-Adha 1438 H, Faculty of Engineering Universitas Brawijaya (FT-UB) sacrificed 12 sacrificial animals consisting of 2 cows, 3 sheep, and 7 goats. This activity was held on 11 Dzulhijah 1438H which coincides on Saturday, September 2, 2017 at the Parking Area of ​​Department of Water Resources Engineering.

The process of slaughtering to the distribution of the sacrificial animal this year runs more coordinated and smoothly. Before Dzuhur, about 675 packages are ready to be distributed. Chairman of the Activity, Endang Susiloningsih SSos, MAB revealed that sacrificial animals are distributed to internal and external parties.

“Alhamdulillah this year’s implementation runs better than in previous years, and inshaa Allah packages will be distributed to the academic and administrative personnel, students, residents around FT area, orphanages, and boarding schools,” said Endang when delivering her report.

adha1The Dean of FT-UB, Dr Ir Pitojo Tri Juwono, MT expressed his appreciation to all the committee and all the parties who have helped the implementation. He also said that the momentum of Eid al-Adha is part of learning in life. Many dimensions can be picked from the moment of Eid al-Adha, first is how to always improve faith and devotion in fulfilling the call of Allah SWT. Sacrifice also provides lessons for sincere, willing to sacrifice, and foster solidarity

“Those dimensions must always be nurtured, to be able to continue to grow well in our lives as believers who have tasks in their respective fields of work,” he advised.

This annual activity which is involving lecturers, employees, and students have become the tradition and routine of FT-UB since 2014. From year to year, the committee is always committed to improve the quality of service and the implementation of sacrificial worship.

“This kind of activity makes us become closer to Allah SWT and also with fellow human beings. Hopefully our good deeds of worship and sacrifice received by Allah SWT, and hopefully bring benefits to the environment,” The Dean hope. (mic)
