Lecturer of Industrial Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Brawijaya (TI FT-UB), L. Tri Wijaya, ST., MT., Who joined the I4T Team, won the 2nd Place Award (Silver Medal) at the largest Social Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition in Taiwan, Yunus Prize.

The final round for the competition which was held for the fourth time took place on October 19, 2019 at the Yunus Social Business Center, National Central University (NCU), Taiwan. Besides L. Tri Wijaya, the I4T team was fronted by Hanas Soebakti (CEO Co-Founder Raion Studio), Ivan Halim (Hult Prize Finalist) , and Avedeo J (Head of Academic Dev & Financial Officer HIMABINTRA UK Petra).

In this competition the I4T Team created a business idea of ​​recruiting quality migrant workers online. The application prototype is called Ai LAO.

“So we are taking the issue of handling Indonesian migrant workers. So far there have been many admin violations on the part of the agency or the employer and its workers, “explained the NCU Business Intelligence & Analytics Ph.D candidate.

Of the 55 migrant workers surveyed, many complained about high service fees, complicated process, and contract violation. On the other hand, there are also many reports of migrant workers working unprofessionally.

“So in the features, we will model the branding as a good agency, in which we convey the information of migrant workers in detail, in addition to that from the recruitment process to talent management and promotion is arranged professionally,” he explained.

From the competition which was followed by teams from Vietnam, India, South America, Indonesia and Taiwan, the I4T team get a coaching fund of NTD $ 50,000 for further development. (and)
