FTUB Held Kahim Election Simultaneously with the E-Vote System

A team of students and IT staff of Faculty of Engineering UB was seen installing polling booths (TPS) in all departments on Sunday, March 23, 2020. Yeah, this year the election of the Chair of the Department (Kahim) Student Association within the FTUB was held simultaneously with the e-vote system (24/Feb/2020).

Acting as the Executive Chair was The Expert Staff of Vice Dean for Students Affairs, Redi Bintarto, ST., M.Eng.Pract. He explained that his part want to held the election with e-vote system to make it more practical and the results could be seen almost immediately.

“Through this system there is little possibility of fraud, because by the system, the results can immediately be seen so it does not take a long time,” he explained.

To accommodate thousands of student voices, the committee prepared several booths in each Department (TPS); Civil Engineering 4 cubicles, Mechanical Engineering 3 cubicles, Electrical Engineering 5 cubicles, Water Resources Engineering 4 cubicles, Architecture 3 cubicles, PWK 2 cubicles, Industrial Engineering 4 cubicles, and Chemical Engineering 3 cubicles.

The system used adopts PEMIRA UB application. The IT team as well as the staff of Administrator of Information Systems and Public Relations (PSIK) FTUB in the field of Infrastructure and IT  Services, Bagus Royan Mardiansyah, ST explained that the implementation of this election is in collaboration with UPT TIK UB.

The voting took place from 08.00 to 16.00 WIB. There were 2,440 votes and the results of the voting came out at 17.00 WIB. (mic)

  • Civil Engineering: Dicky Hamdani Febrian
  • Mechanical Engineering: Ridho Nuzullah
  • Electrical Engineering: M. Elvir Eriansyah
  • Water Resources Engineering: Damarendro Wihandaru
  • Architecture: A. Faishal Eksnanda
  • Urban & Regional Planning (PWK): M. Fajri Ramadianto
  • Industrial Engineering: Haekal Abigail Ihsan
  • Chemical Engineering: Ricko Ahsan Pradana
