Open House Interests and Talents of Engineering Students Executive Board

The Student Executive Board (BEM) together with all representatives of the UB Faculty of Engineering (FT) Student Activity Unit (UKM) held an Interest and Talent EXPO for new students for the class of 2019/2020. This activity was carried out in the Prof. Auditorium Ir. Suryono on Thursday, February 13, 2020.

“Let the new students not only focus on academics, but also develop their respective soft skills,” said Kristian Natanael as Chair of the FT 2020 Expo.

EXPO Interest & Talent is BEM’s first step to support students to develop their interests, talents, and potential. One of them is by providing facilities that can support the development of students’ interests and talents in preparation for the 2020 Brawijaya Olympiad.

“Hopefully with this activity, students can channel their interests/talents. So students should not just study, hone their interests and talents, channel it and enjoy your time while being students. And hopefully it can be developed as much as possible so that it can represent the alma mater in national and international events,” said the Expert Staff of the Vice Dean for Student Affairs, Redi Bintarto, ST., M.Eng.Pract. when opened the program that night.

To add to the excitement of the event, entertainment was also displayed for all those present at the annual BEM event; attractions by each Student Activity Unit, Theater, Dance, acoustics, band, choir, karate, etc.

“The target of this activity is the 2019 new students. We want all students to be active in the academic and non-academic fields, I believe they can contribute to alma mater,” concluded the Chief Executive who is also a 2018 Civil student. (mic)
