Today, April 20, 2021, there was an online socialization of voting procedures for Dean Candidates for the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Brawijaya (FTUB) via zoom media and broadcast live on YouTube Channel 123 Teknik.
Acting as the moderator for the activity which took place at the Prof. Ir Suryono Auditorium, 2nd floor of the FTUB Building was L Tri Wijaya Nata Kusuma, S.T., M.T., Ph.D.
The socialization regarding the FTUB Dean Candidate Voting was given by the Head of the Committee, Ir. Eko Andi Suryo S.T., M.T., Ph.D.
He explained that the voting would be conducted offline in the hallway of the FTUB Building on Friday, 23 April 2021, 08.00 – 11.00 WIB.
“Learning from faculties that have carried out the previous election, offline voting will be carried out by WALK-IN and DRIVE-THRU,” he explained.
Voters using the WALK-IN method will vote in the Voting Booth in the FTUB Building Hallway. Whereas in the Drive-Thru method, voters will vote in their respective cars at the FTUB building parking lot.
“Of course we will implement strict health protocols in both methods,” said this geotechnical expert.
Ir Eko also explained that there are more than 200 registered voters and the committee had provided six voting booths.
To facilitate lecturers who are on study assignments, the committee has also prepared an E-Vote system. The socialization of this system was explained by the Head of Information Systems and Public Relations (PSIK) unit of FTUB, Adharul Muttaqin ST MT.
He explained that voters who have the right to use the E-vote system are lecturers who are currently studying abroad and who are outside the city because they are carrying out official duties from the dean (proven by an assignment letter).
“The total number of voters registered in the committee is 20, if there are any different data, please contact the committee before April 22,” he added.
Adharul continued, on April 22, 2021 a username and one-time password will be sent to each email and voters have to carry out user activation.
“If those eligible voters do not receive the email until 18.00 WIB, please contact us,” he said.
At the end of the socialization, Ir. Eko, representing the entire committee, urged registered voters to channel their aspirations next Friday.
“Give your voting rights next Friday for the sake of our beloved Faculty of Engineering,” he concluded.
