Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Brawijaya (FTUB) is making final preparations for the 2021 Computer-Based Writing Examination (UTBK).
Located in the 3rd floor Meeting Room, Ir. Ishardita Pambudi Tama, ST., MT., Ph.D., IPU., led the coordination meeting accompanied by Endang Susiloningsih, S.Sos, M.AB as the person in charge of the location (PJL).
In her report, Endang, who is also the Head of Administration Affairs, said that during the past two months, coordination was carried out online for PJL, ICT in charge, room technicians, and supervisors.
“Supervisors have also been briefed on April 5, 2021,” said Endang.
Ir. Ishardita in his speech also reminded the committee to pay attention to the location of the road directions to make it easier for exam participants to get to the exam room.
“Most of these participants have never entered and do not know about our campus, they also cannot check the exam venue the day before, so make sure the directions are easy to follow,” said this Vice Dean for Academic Affairs.
He also delivered a message from the Dean to prepare everything properly. And make sure that the health protocols checking not to delay the implementation of the exam
He also emphasized the importance of ICT readiness in this online exam. Angger Abdul Razak, ST, MT, M.Eng., Ph.D., as the person in charge of ICT in the FTUB environment revealed that his team had prepared it well.
In implementing this UTBK, FT provides 65 computers spread over four points; Civil Computing Lab, Capita Selekta Room PWK Department, and Industrial Engineering in Simulation Lab and Computer Lab.
He added that the committee has also prepared a network and backups of electrical power in the form of UPS and generators at each location.
“Most of the laptops/PCs available require updating to the latest OS version. So for almost two months we prepared and updated each laptop, and it was 100% up to date, in shaa Allah it’s ready to use,” said this lecturer in Electrical Engineering.
To note UTBK this year will be held on 12-18 April 2021, every day it will consist of 2 sessions. (mic)
