Journal Publishing Agency (BPJ) Faculty of Engineering Universitas Brawijaya (FTUB) held an online Workshop on Book Writing: Reference Books & Popular Books from Scientific Writing (Research, Dissertation, Thesis, and Skripsi) on March 28, 2022.

Head of BPJ FTUB, Gunawan Prayitno, S.P., M.T., Ph.D., in his report said that this activity was attended by 101 registrants.

“It is hoped that all participants today can attend and learn together to increase the publication of FTUB books,” said the Lecturer of Urban and Regional Planning.

Gunawan added that BPJ also provides services to publish books, especially for FTUB residents who want to publish their books.

“We will be assisted starting from the layout process, editing, and checking the Turnitin (max 20%), and we will help publish it at a cost that is not too expensive,” he said.

Present to open the event, the Dean of FTUB, Prof. Ir Hadi Suyono, S.T., M.T., Ph.D., IPU., ASEAN Eng. He hopes that BPJ FTUB will be able to globalize journals at the Faculty of Engineering and increase publications both in quantity and quality.

“FT has 264 lecturers, one of their duties is making publication, one of which is through books. Let’s encourage ourselves to keep writing. If 50% of the workshop participants write, our publications will increase,” he said.

On this occasion, both the Head of BPJ and the Dean expressed their greatest appreciation to the speaker of this activity, Bambang Trimansyah.

Bambang Trim, as he is usually called, is a writer and editor who has published more than 190 books and hundreds of edited works and articles in various fields in various media.

The Director of the Indonesian Professional Writer and Editors Professional Certification Institute (LSP PEP) gave material for three hours, moderated by Aris Subagiyo, ST., MT., and continued with a question and answer session.

Ending the activity, the committee announces the first five registrants who win a special thing from BPF FTUB. These five people can publish ISBN textbooks/reference books through BPJ FTUB.
