Kunjungan Pimpinan ke Lokasi KKM XLIII

Ahead of implementing community service activities by the Faculty of Engineering’s new students in 2023, the Dean and all of the faculty and Departments Leaders conducted a site visit on Wednesday, January 26, 2023.

The community service packaged in the Student Work Camp (KKM) XLIII cannot be separated from implementing the Tri Dharma of Higher Education in society.

The main objective of the activity which was postponed during the pandemic, was as a means for students of the Faculty of Engineering to be able to develop themselves in the areas of reasoning, talent, and social interests so that they can develop their insights, abilities, skills, and soft skills.

Apart from that, this activity is also expected to increase FTUB’s synergy with the Community and Regional Government so that the role of Higher Education in development can be more real.

The group immediately inspected the participant/committee base camp locations and procured infrastructure to support activities.

The Dean, Prof. Ir. Hadi Suyono, S.T., M.T., Ph.D., IPU., ASEAN Eng., reminded the committee of the readiness of supporting facilities for this activity.

“Prepare for this activity well. Please pay attention to infrastructure related to water needs, toilets, tents, public kitchens, and electricity as well as possible,” said the Dean.

The safety and comfort of the participants and the committee during the activity must be prioritized, continued the Dean.

The KKM activity is entering its 43rd time and will last four days from 6-9 February 2023 at Jedong Village, Wagir District, Malang Regency.
