Officially Released, Apatte62 Brawijaya Ready to Win Again at KMHE 2024
Monday (30/9/2024) Vice Rector for Student Affairs, Alumni and Student Entrepreneurship, Dr. Setiawan Noerdajasakti, SH., MH. together with the Dean of FT UB, Prof. Ir. Hadi Suyono, S.T., MT., Ph.D., IPU., ASEAN Eng. officially released the Apatte62 Brawijaya Team to compete in the 2024 Energy Efficient Car Contest. This event will be held at the Ancol Jakarta Carnaval Circuit, on 6-10 October 2024.
The release ceremony took place at the Ir. Prof. Suryono Auditorium, Faculty of Engineering, attended by team members, supervising lecturers, and UB academics.
The Apatte62 Brawijaya Team, known as one of the leading teams in the field of energy-efficient vehicle innovation, will compete in the field of automotive technology by launching their two energy-efficient cars. The cars named “Nogososro Diesel” and “Marsela EV” are the result of the hard work of Brawijaya University students. It should be noted that last year the Apatte 62 Brawijaya Team won first place in the Prototype Diesel category and 3rd place in Urban Ethanol.
In the 2024 Energy-Efficient Car Contest, the Apatte62 Brawijaya Team will compete with two categories of cars, namely Urban Concept and Prototype which use energy sources that are divided into several subcategories, namely diesel internal combustion engines (MPD) and electric motors. On this occasion, the Apatte62 Brawijaya Team will launch cars in the Urban Electric and Prototype Diesel categories.
In his remarks, the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs, Alumni and Student Entrepreneurship, Dr. Setiawan Noerdajasakti, SH., MH. conveyed his pride and will fully support the students who will compete in the competition, especially since the competition is held by Puspresnas (National Achievement Center), one of which is KMHE.
“We are proud of the achievements and dedication of the Apatte62 Team. Hopefully, in the 2024 KMHE event, you can give your best and bring home proud achievements. Your success will be an inspiration for other UB students,” he explained.
The Dean of FT UB also gave his full support to the team. He emphasized that the innovation and creativity shown by the Apatte62 Team is real evidence of FT UB’s commitment to developing sustainable technology.
“Trying to achieve achievements is important, but what is more important is the process by which you work on a project or work, because innovation is truly an ongoing process,” explained Prof. Hadi.
The Energy Efficient Car Contest (KMHE) is an annual competition held by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology (Kemendikbudristek) as part of an effort to encourage green and environmentally friendly technology innovation among students.
With high spirits and full support from Universitas Brawijaya, the Apatte62 team hopes to achieve the best results in this competition. The achievements achieved will not only make Universitas Brawijaya proud, but also be real evidence of the ability of Indonesian students in creating environmentally friendly technology.[drn]
