EECCiS 2024: Promoting Sustainable Technology Through Global Collaboration
The Department of Electrical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Brawijaya University (FT UB), in collaboration with Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia, organized The 12th Electrical Power, Electronics, Communications, Control, and Informatics Seminar (EECCiS) 2024. Held from October 16-18, 2024, at the Prof. Ir. Suryono Auditorium, the event was conducted in a hybrid format.
This international seminar highlighted key issues in engineering and sustainable technology. Sustainable technology emphasizes efficiency and environmental consciousness in developing technological solutions.
FT UB is committed to providing innovative and practical education. Through this seminar, students and participants are encouraged to enhance their competitiveness in their respective fields on an international stage.
In addition to education, collaboration in research and community service was also a central focus of the seminar. Through joint efforts, it is hoped that there will be a lasting positive impact on the broader community, particularly in the field of sustainable engineering.
The event featured various experts, researchers, and professionals from around the world, providing a valuable opportunity to share knowledge and expand global collaboration in addressing current challenges.
The Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at Brawijaya University, Prof. Ir. Hadi Suyono, ST., MT., Ph.D., IPU., ASEAN Eng., expressed his hopes in his opening remarks.
“I am confident that this seminar will inspire meaningful dialogue, strengthen new partnerships, and drive progress in sustainable engineering and technology,” he said.
EECCiS 2024 featured three keynote speakers: Prof. Ichijo Hodaka from the University of Miyazaki, Japan; Prof. Asmarashid bin Ponniran, Ph.D., from Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia; and Dr. Nanang Sulistyanto from Brawijaya University, Indonesia.
The biennial seminar of the Department of Electrical Engineering was concluded by the Head of the Department, Muhammad Aziz Muslim, ST., MT., Ph.D., who encouraged all participants to keep making impactful contributions.
“Together, let us use this knowledge to shape a better future for the environment we are building,” he concluded.
