The Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Brawijaya (FT UB) received visits from three schools at once on Tuesday (9/10/2024). The three schools are SMA Quranic Science Boarding School Tasikmalaya, SMAN 2 Pamekasan, and SMA Islam Nurul Fikri Boarding School Banten. Specifically, for SMA Islam Nurul Fikri Boarding School Banten, the visit was received at the Department of Industrial Engineering.

This visit is an important momentum to introduce more deeply about the world of lectures and FT UB’s excellent programs to students from various regions in Indonesia.

The group from each school was warmly welcomed by representatives of the faculty leadership and the FT UB visiting committee at the Prof. Ir. Suryono Hall. In the core activity, the Expert Staff of the Vice Dean for Student Affairs, Alumni, and Student Entrepreneurship, Fauzul Rizal Sutikno, S.T., M.T., Ph.D, delivered a speech and presentation introducing the FT UB profile with great enthusiasm.

“We are very pleased to receive visits from the three schools that came from various regions. This is a good opportunity for us to share information and inspiration about the world of lectures at the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Brawijaya, as well as to motivate students in achieving their dreams of continuing their studies at university,” he said.

It is hoped that with the introduction and presentation delivered by Rizal, students will be more interested in continuing their studies at university, especially at FT UB. Each school had the opportunity to tour the FT UB campus, visit various laboratories, and facilities at FT UB.

In addition, the question and answer session was also an interactive moment that was no less interesting. Many students asked about the entrance pathways to Universitas Brawijaya, campus life, and career opportunities after graduating from the Faculty of Engineering. The great curiosity of the students was responded positively by the academic team and students who were tasked with providing detailed explanations.

Representatives from SMA Quranic Science Boarding School Tasikmalaya, SMAN 2 Pamekasan, and SMA Islam Nurul Fikri Boarding School Banten expressed their gratitude for the warm welcome and knowledge provided during the visit. They hope that this visit can motivate their students to continue their education in college, especially in FT UB.
