PAVORITE UB Team Wins at Oil Week 2024
Students from Universitas Brawijaya have once again achieved outstanding success. The PAVORITE Team, consisting of Hasbiyallah Nur Muhammad, Fatah Raufurrahim (Chemical Engineering 2023), and Aaliyah Kusuma Hendra Nurmala (Management 2023), emerged as The 1st Runner Up at the Oil Week 2024 competition. This prestigious event, held annually by Universitas Indonesia, took place from October 25-27, 2024 in Depok, West Java, with participants from various universities across Indonesia.
Carrying the project titled “Sustainable Packaging and Recycling in the Paragon Corp Product: Integrating Refillable Designs, Enzyme-Driven PET Reclamation, and Strategic Multi-Channel Marketing,” the PAVORITE Team offered three innovative solutions to enhance sustainability in the FMCG cosmetics industry, particularly for PT Paragon Technology and Innovation.
Their work not only highlights environmental issues but also includes a well-structured implementation scenario and a multi-channel marketing strategy to support the sustainability of the production cycle.
Under the guidance of lecturers Ir. Luthfi Kurnia Dewi, S.T., M.T., and Ir. A.S. Dwi Saptati N.H., S.T., M.T., the team successfully designed solutions combining refillable designs, enzyme-based PET (Polyethylene Terephthalate) recycling technology, and strategic marketing approaches. Their concept addresses sustainability challenges faced by the cosmetics industry in Indonesia.
This achievement was not easily attained. Teamwork, hard work, and strong dedication were key to the success of the team in creating their innovative project. Despite the individual challenges of balancing their busy schedules, the PAVORITE Team managed to optimize their time and skills to deliver their best work.
This accomplishment serves as a real proof of Universitas Brawijaya students’ contribution to presenting impactful innovations for both industry and the environment. The PAVORITE Team hopes their idea can be widely implemented to support sustainable production and accelerate the transition to a more environmentally friendly industry.
