In order to strengthen togetherness and refresh from academic routines, the academic community of the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Brawijaya (FT UB) held a motorcycle tour to Lembah Tumpang, Malang, on Saturday, (5/10/2024). This activity was attended by lecturers, education staff, and each family, creating an exciting moment filled with togetherness and family spirit.

The touring group departed from the FT UB campus in the morning, with around 80 participants taking part in the trip. This activity began with a joint prayer, followed by a short briefing on the route and driving safety. With high spirits, the participants crossed the streets of Malang towards the Lembah Tumpang tourist destination located approximately 20 kilometers from the campus.

Lembah Tumpang, which is famous for its beautiful natural scenery and natural atmosphere, is an ideal destination to relieve fatigue. Upon arrival at the location, the participants were greeted with fresh air and natural beauty as well as temple buildings and statues. After taking a short break, the activity continued with various events, such as breakfast together, karaoke, door prize distribution, and group photos at Instagram able spots in Lembah Tumpang.

In the departure of the Dean of FT UB, Prof. Ir. Hadi Suyono, S.T., MT., Ph.D., IPU., ASEAN Eng. revealed that this activity was not only a means of refreshing, but also strengthening the relationship between lecturers, staff, and students.

“This tour provides new experiences and is also a place to get to know each other better outside the academic environment. This is important to build better relationships between all of us,” he said.

He also added that this tour was deliberately held to provide an opportunity for the FT UB academic community to relax and enjoy togetherness during a busy academic routine. Lembah Tumpang was chosen because its location is not too far away and offers a cool and calming atmosphere.

This touring activity ended with a free lunch. After that, the group returned to the UB campus with happy hearts and renewed enthusiasm. By holding this event, the Faculty of Engineering UB hopes that similar activities can continue to be carried out to foster togetherness and maintain good relations between all academicians.[drn]
