Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Brawijaya (FTUB) continues to prepare to hold the XLV Student Work Camp (KKM) which will last for 4 days, namely 3-6 February 2025 in Kucur Village, Dau District, Malang Regency. On Sunday, February 2 2025, FTUB leaders, students and educational staff worked together to complete final preparations to welcome new students.

Head of the XLV Student Work Camp activities, Dr. Ir. Redi Bintarto, ST., M.Eng.Pract, said that time constraints required them to carry out an evaluation and final check on the preparation of the KKM XLV at the location. He also asked for help from the entire committee so that this event could run successfully without significant obstacles.

FTUB KKM activities also always collaborate with the TNI regarding mobilizing participants using TNI vehicles, building student tents and health tents, as well as building public kitchens to prepare food for new students. Mr. Kholil, a representative from the Bekang Corps (Army Transport Supplies), said that preparations were almost complete, the TNI had prepared 199 tents for participants and committee members, a public kitchen tent and a prayer room tent.

KKM is an FTUB tradition which is divided into two parts, namely community service carried out by new female students and KKM projects carried out by new male students. This community service takes the form of social activities aimed at the surrounding community by consulting with village officials regarding current village needs.

Based on coordination with the local government, there are seven projects that will be implemented in this KKM XLV, including greening and landscaping programs, road repair (paving), drainage channel repair, yard land utilization, repair of places of worship, socialization activities and teaching programs and procurement of public street lighting (PJU).

It is hoped that this KKM activity, which is entering its 45th year, will become an opportunity for all committee members and participants to learn to dedicate their knowledge and energy to society. Cooperation from all parties is expected to make this activity a success.
