SEMA1Apatte 62 Brawijaya Team again took part in the Shell Eco Marathon Asia (SEMA) 2018 on April 28 – May 2, 2019, at Sepang International Circuit, Malaysia. UB Faculty of Engineering Team sends 15 delegates chaired by Muhammad Syifa’uddin (Mechanical Engineering ’15) and accompanied by Dr.Eng. Eko Siswanto, ST., MT.

The team launches Marsella 3 Evo 1 to compete in this race. Of the 5 races that have been undertaken, the best results obtained were 149 km/kWh. This achievement increased from last year where the team got the best results of 93.5 km/kWh in 2018.

“Thank God, it increased from last year. We have tried our best with great preparation before departure day. Alhamdulillah our best achievement skyrocketed from last year,” Syifa’uddin said proudly.
SEMA3Also accompanying Apatte 62 Brawijaya Team was Deputy Dean for Student Affairs, Dr.Eng. Ir. Denny Widhiyanuriyawan, ST., MT., along with the ranks of FTUB Student Section staff. With full support from the faculty, the Apatte 62 Brawijaya Team defeated the UI team and the teams from Korea, the Philippines, and Singapore.

SEMA2Above Appatte 62 Brawijaya Team, ranks 1-3 are Lac Hong University (LH – EST) 170.1 km/kWh, Sepuluh November Institute of Technology (Nogogeni ITS) 169.1 km/Kwh, and Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (Bumi Siliwangi) 164.8 km/kWh.

Under this Mechanical Engineering team at 5th place is Universitas Indonesia (Nakula) 136 km/Kwh, 6th place is Kookmin University Korea (Kookmin Racing),  7th place is University of the Philippines-Diliman (Physical UP) 95km/kWh, and the 8th place is the Nanyang Technological University Singapore (Nanyang Autonomous Venture) 80 km/kWh.
