Climate Change Commitment

The Faculty of Engineering of Universitas Brawijaya is strongly committed to promoting climate change awareness through various sustainability-focused initiatives. The faculty aims to foster innovation and education in engineering that positively impacts the environment by implementing the following strategies:

  1. Reducing Plastic Usage
The Faculty actively campaigns for reducing the use of single-use plastics on campus. This initiative is supported by policies promoting environmentally friendly materials and the development of technologies for recycling and repurposing plastics into valuable products.
  2. Energy Saving
In an effort to minimize carbon footprints, the Faculty of Engineering has initiated energy-saving programs across all lecture buildings and laboratories. Implementing energy-efficient technologies, such as energy-saving lighting and optimizing air conditioning systems, is part of the efforts to achieve a green campus.
  3. Water Conservation
Awareness of water conservation is also a key focus of the Faculty of Engineering. Efficient water management and wastewater treatment systems are implemented across campus facilities. Students and lecturers are actively involved in research and developing more sustainable water treatment technologies.
  4. Campus Greening
The Faculty is committed to creating a green and cool campus environment. Through greening programs, such as tree planting and creating open green spaces, the faculty aims to reduce air pollution and foster a better ecosystem within the campus
