The i-Desaku platform can integrate village officials with the community. This technological innovation came from the brilliant idea of Muhammad Hafizh Al Ghiffari, a student of the Department of Architecture, Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Brawijaya (FTUB) Malang.

Hafizh explained that the initial idea for creating the platform was because he looked at economic, infrastructure, and social disparities in rural areas.

According to him, it takes efforts to achieve the SDGs Village goals, namely social, economic, legal, environmental development, and community governance.

“The i-Desaku platform already has excellent features, such as the flow of income and expenditure of village funds, event info, aspiration columns, Village-Owned Enterprises, digital cooperatives, and various other features that I will continue to develop,” he explained.

There are four advantages of i-Desaku. First, it can alleviate poverty using real-time cash flow transparency in managing village funds. Second, it can create a platform to accommodate public aspirations for various needs.

“This tool can also unravel the potential for misappropriation of funds, open up space for the community to report problems in the village, as a means of developing village community businesses with funding through BUMD, as well as being a liaison for residents with village officials who are currently serving,” continued Hafizh.

Tampilan platform i-DesakuThanks to the platform he worked on, he became one of five students who became UB’s representative in the International Youth Exchange (IYA) and Conference 3: Turkey.

The NGO Indonesian Youth Action initiated the program to accommodate voices, ideas, innovations, and play an active role in community service to implement sustainable development.

“IYA has held conferences in Malaysia, Singapore, and Thailand. Through this activity, I hope to channel my ideas before panelists with the same concerns and goals so that they can collaborate for the country’s progress as a service to Motherland,” Hafizh concluded.
