Professional Engineering Department, Professional Engineer Education Study Program (PS PPI), Faculty of Engineering UB (FT-UB) re-opened registration for new students for the 2019/2020 Academic Year Even Semester, today, Saturday, December 14, 2019.

Applicants in the first batch comes from various instances such as PT. Bina MArga, PT Brantas Abipraya Jakarta, Widya Iswara Utama, BWS Kalimantan III East Kalimantan, PT Jatim Graha Utama (BUMD East Java), Cipta Karya Batu, ITN Malang, PT Wijaya Karya Beton, consultants, and contractors.

“Alhamdulillah, PSPPI FTUB has been widely known and sought after, the interview today is entirely external,” said the Secretary of the Department, Ir. Rinawati P. Handajani, IPM.

A total of 19 registrants were interviewed directly by three PSPPI lecturers, including Ir. Sugeng P. Budio, MS, Ir. Soeprapto, MT (Electrical Engineering), and Ir. Nasir Widha Setyanto, ST., MT.

The interview process is one way to assess the appropriateness of student to participate in the Past Learning Recognition Program (RPL) which is still enacted this year.

The PSPPI itself is a higher education program after the undergraduate program to form Engineering competence. This program is contained in one of the points in Law No. 11 of 2014 concerning Engineering Law articles 7 to 9 concerning Professional Education for Engineers. (mic)
