Upholding the spirit of togetherness and caring in the holy month of Ramadhan, the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Brawijaya (FT UB) held an event to provide compensation to orphans from the Rois Dahlan Grand Mosque orphan foundation. This activity is part of a series of Safari Ramadhan 1445 Hijriah held by FT UB.

The event which took place at the Al Hadiid Mosque FT UB on Monday (18/3/2024), was attended by heads of Deans, Departments, administrators from the Foundation and 26 orphans of the Rois Dahlan Grand Mosque. In his speech, the Dean of FT UB, Prof. Dr. Ir. Prof. Ir. Hadi Suyono, S.T., MT., Ph.D., IPU., ASEAN Eng. conveyed the importance of sharing sustenance, especially in the holy month of Ramadan, as a form of social concern and practicing Islamic values.

“We hope that this activity can bring happiness and provide support to the children. Hopefully we can do what we provide again in the following years and I also hope that the children can continue their education to a higher level until they go to college and become successful people in the future,” said Prof. Hadi.

Apart from that, the Chair of the activities committee, Dr.techn. Khairul Anam, ST., M.Sc. expressed his appreciation for the active participation of all parties who have supported and carried out this activity smoothly.

“We thank all parties who have contributed, both in the form of support, so that this event can be carried out well,” he said.

It is hoped that the event of providing compensation to orphans in the framework of the Ramadhan Safari can be a momentum to further strengthen the ties between FT UB and the community around the UB area in particular, as well as increasing awareness of the importance of sharing and caring for others, especially those in need.
