The Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Brawijaya (FT UB) solemnly and enthusiastically welcomes the arrival of the holy month of Ramadhan by celebrating the Opening of the Safari Ramadhan. This event was held at the Al Hadiid FT UB mosque, attended by lecturers, staff and students from the Faculty of Engineering.

This event was also enlivened by a religious lecture delivered by a ustadz from FT UB, namely Ustd. Subhan Ramdlani, MT, who provided an in-depth understanding of the importance of fasting and exemplifying the values of kindness and patience during the month of Ramadhan to become a pious person. Apart from that, several other activities were also held, such as distributing takjil, breaking the fast together, and congregational tarawih prayers

“Let us use this year’s Ramadhan fasting time to memuhasabah and seek various knowledge because the month of Ramadhan is provided by Allah SWT as a means to educate people to walk the path of piety, as fasting is required to become pious people,” explained Ust. Subhan.

The Safari Ramadhan activity in 1445 Hijriah was officially opened by the Dean of FT UB, Prof. Ir. Hadi Suyono, S.T., MT., Ph.D., IPU., ASEAN Eng. by providing a welcome and a little cult before the congregational tarawih prayers begin. In his speech, he emphasized the importance of always being grateful and enthusiastic about sharing and social care in this blessed month, inviting all FT UB academics to help and strengthen each other, as well as strengthen ties of brotherhood.

“We must be grateful to Allah SWT because one of his chosen servants is a Muslim. Apart from that, the month of Ramadan is also intended to ensure that Muslims are always grateful because the month of Ramadan is the month when the Qur’an was revealed. Apart from that, with the arrival of Ramadan, we welcome it with joy, don’t let it make our hearts anxious, because the revelation of the Qur’an in the month of Ramadan and fasting in it is a great gift from Allah SWT,” explained Prof. Hadi.

The opening of the Safari Ramadhan  at FT UB is a valuable momentum for the entire academic community to deepen spirituality and improve the quality of worship in the holy month of Ramadan. Hopefully with the same spirit, togetherness and blessings will always adorn the steps of the entire FTUB extended family in fasting and implementing the noble values of Islam.
