The fighting spirit of the students of the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Brawijaya is burning again in preparation for the 2024 National Student Science Week (PIMNAS). A total of 12 groups from various PKM fields, including PKM for Entrepreneurship (PKM-K), PKM for Creation Initiatives (PKM-KC) , PKM Scientific Articles (PKM-AI), PKM KI and PKM Application of Science and Technology (PKM-PI) attended a two-day intensive training and debriefing camp, namely 27-28 June 2024, at Kusuma Agrowisata Batu.

This camp event was organized by the Student Affairs Division of the Faculty of Engineering, Brawijaya University with the main aim of strengthening students’ preparations for facing PIMNAS 2024. This camp was filled with various activities, such as providing material on writing PKM proposals, presentation techniques, and strategies for facing judges. Participants also get the opportunity to discuss and exchange ideas with experienced supervisors and mentors.

The enthusiasm of the camp participants was clearly visible in every activity session. They enthusiastically follow the material presented and are active in discussions. This shows their strong determination to achieve proud achievements for Universitas Brawijaya at PIMNAS 2024. It was also seen that there were several participant members from other faculties who collaborated with FTUB students, including the Faculty of Medicine, Film and Communication, FMIPA and FKG.

“This camp is very useful for us. We gained a lot of new knowledge and experience which will help us in preparing for PIMNAS 2024,” said one of the camp participants, Yusuf, a student majoring in Electrical Engineering.

In line with Yusuf, PKM-KC supervisor and chief executive, Eka Maulana, S.T., M.T., M.Eng. , also expressed his confidence that the camp participants would be able to achieve achievements at PIMNAS 2024. “I am sure that with thorough preparation and high fighting spirit, students from the Faculty of Engineering, Brawijaya University will be able to achieve achievements at PIMNAS 2024,” he said.

This camp is a form of commitment from the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Brawijaya in supporting and developing its students so that they can achieve achievements in various national and international scientific competitions. It is hoped that by attending this camp, the participants will be more prepared and confident in facing PIMNAS 2024 and bringing the name of Brawijaya University to the national stage.
