The third day of the Introduction to Campus Life (PK2) the Department level starts on Thursday, August 15, 2019. At this Department level, all Engineering Freshmen gathered to have several material on everything about their department.

Today, freshmen are introduced directly to the Department leader, lecturers, and student activists from each department. Topics about student affairs, department profiles, academic systems, ethics and department culture, and student associations became the material on the last day of this PK2.

“PK2 is an initiation to build students who are independent, outstanding, and have faith. This became an agreement at our last coordination meeting with department leaders and association activists,” said the Vice Dean for Student Affairs, Dr.Eng. Ir. Denny Widhiyanuriyawan, ST., MT.

Deeper in the academic field, freshmen are introduced to the concentration choices available in their respective departments. This is important so that freshmen can choose courses according to their desired interests since the beginning of the semester. Thus freshmen can focus more on developing their knowledge and achievement in it.

From the student side, there is full support from student institutions. New students can easily access any activity in developing their talents. Whereas in the student organizations, freshmen get acquainted with student associations which will later become a platform in every student activity. Thus freshmen can develop their interests and talents with direction and are expected to bring in achievement.

The density of material given to PK2 majors today is expected to be a good start for freshmen. Later the committee will continue the material that has not been conveyed properly in this two days with Krida activities in the rest of the semester and activities to introduce campus life will end with the Student Work Camp.
