The third batch of the Department of Engineering Professionals education, Engineering Study Program (PSPPI) of the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Brawijaya (FTUB) underwent the assessment process on November 16, 2019.

A total of 29 students were assessed directly by eight PSPPI internal examiners according to their area of ​​expertise. Appraisers involved in this assessment include Prof. Ir. Ludfi ​​Djakfar IPM, Ir. Sugeng P. Budio IPM, Ir. HAdi Suyono IPM, Ir. Soeprapto IPM, Ir. Herry Santosa IPM, Prof. Ir. Qomariyatus Sholihah IPU, Ir. Nasir Widha Sasmita IPM, and Ir. Rinawati P. Handajani, IPM.

Students bring their supporting data for their FAIR (Engineer Application Form) which covering formal & non formal education, engineering practical work experience, exposure and engineering paper, and other supporting activities (as experts, organizational managers , recipients of service marks, etc.).

This third class still applies the Past Learning Recognition (RPL) program. This program is an acknowledgment of the learning achievements that have been obtained from formal or non-formal education, as well as work experience at the tertiary level of college students.

“Therefore, to determine whether these students are eligible to participate in the RPL program, at the beginning we interviewed each participant to facilitate the process until this assessment held,” said The Department Secretary Ir. Rinawati IPM.

The learning achievements of each student were poured into FAIR to then be converted into numbers according to the courses that must be followed to get a GPA. During the interview process, students were given the opportunity to tell about engineering experience that had not been set out in FAIR.

Centered in the lecture hall and studio on the 5th floor of the Faculty of Engineering Building, the interview process that day went smoothly, starting at 8:00 until 13:00 WIB. (mic)
