Encourage the publication of scientific journals in the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Brawijaya (FTUB) at national and international levels, the Journal Publishing Agency (BPJ) once again held a Coaching Clinic on 29-30 October 2019.

Centered in the Meeting Room on the 3rd floor of the FTUB Building, this activity was attended by around one hundred participants of the S2/S3 students and lecturers in the FTUB environment.

Attend to open this two-day event, Vice Dean for Academic Affairs FTUB, Ir. Ishardita Pambudi Tama ST MT PhD. In these two days the participants received material related to the preparation of writing a paper, a tutorial to avoid Journal Predators and their characteristics, and writing strategies to be easily accepted.

Chairman of the BPJ FTUB, Dr.Eng. Riyanto Haribowo ST MT presents four speakers, including; Prof. Ir I Nyoman Gede Wardana, MEng PhD., Prof. Widodo SSi MSi PhD MedSC., and Rama Oktavian ST MSc.

On the other occasion Dr.Eng. Riyanto said that this activity aims to improve the quality of article writing so that it can be published in national and international journals. It also provides a strategy to facilitate the selection of journals as a forum for publication.

“In addition, it also provides motivation for participants to improve their writing culture, while improving the quality, quantity of writing and publication among students, lecturers and researchers especially in the FTUB environment,” he concluded. (mic)
