19 FT Team Ready to Represent UB in PIMNAS 2020

The Student Creativity Program (PKM) for New Students 2019 has been completed. As a result, 19 freshman works were selected from the 6 categories that were competed. The winners get the opportunity for intensive coaching and are eligible to take part in monitoring and evaluation at the University level on 25 September 2020.

This achievement is the pride of the faculty, among other faculties in Universitas Brawijaya (UB), the Faculty of Engineering (FT) has experienced a significant increase from last year.

“This year FTUB is the second largest contributor in UB, but our quality and quantity improvement is the most drastic of all, it increase up to 47.62% compared to last year,” said the Vice Dean for Student Affairs, Dr.Eng. Ir. Denny Widhiyanuriyawan, ST., MT when met at his office on Friday, 4 September 2020.

The distribution of the teams that passed PKM funding is as follows; Constructive Futuristic Ideas (PKM-GFK) 1 team, PKM- Entrepreneurship 1 team, PKM-Community Service 1 team, PKM-Technology Application 4 teams, PKM Karsa Cipta 5 teams, PKM Research 7 teams (total = 19 teams).

Lambang Tristan as The Head of Research Dept. of Student Executive Body (BEM) FTUB revealed that his party would always supervise the PKM Teams who had passed the 2020 funding until PIMNAS with Aulia Azzahra as Chair of the PKM FT Team Winning Committee this year.

“We have provided these 19 teams with training in writing articles for publication, public speaking, and also training in graphic design, I hope this skill can be useful and lead FT teams to become winners of PIMNAS 2020,” he hoped. (mic)
