Briefing and Orientation of Engineering Student IISMA Program Recipient
The Faculty of Engineering Universitas Brawijaya (FTUB) held briefing and orientation for students nominated for the 2021 Indonesian International Student Mobility Awards (IISMA) Program on Tuesday, August 3, 2021.
The activity, which was held online through zoom media, was attended by all Faculty Leaders, Heads of Departments, representatives of the International Liaison Office (ILO), and Head of Administration, Endang Susiloningsih SSos MAB.
The morning activity was opened by the Dean of FTUB, Prof. Ir. Hadi Suyono, ST., MT., Ph.D., IPU., ASEAN Eng. In his speech, Prof. Hadi advised the six students to prepare their studies carefully.
“Take advantage of this opportunity well. You must have the right program and planning. While you’re there, you can find information about further studies, usually the university will provide scholarships,” said the alumni of the University of Malaya.
When abroad, he continued, each student is expected to be able to cultivate and widen the network between alumni and students who are studying abroad. He also advised students to always maintain the image of the alma mater.
“You are the face of Universitas Brawijaya. Pass your study time well, establish good communication, and produce good academic products too,” he said.
On the same occasion the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, Ir. Ishardita Pambudi Tama, ST., MT., Ph.D., IPU., reports, this activity is carried out to equip students who in fact have only been studying for two years or who have never been abroad at all.
He revealed that DIKTI will fund all costs for this program. If other costs are not funded by DIKTI, the Faculty will cover them.
“For the visa processing fee that must be taken care of in Jakarta, it will be covered by the Faculty of Engineering,” explained this Industrial Engineering Lecturer.
The briefing and orientation event was held comfortably. The Head of the ILO FTUB, Bambang Winarta ST MT PhD, moderated the presentation of material to questions and answers about things that must be considered when studying abroad.
To note, FTUB sent six students to the program organized by the Directorate General of Higher Education (DIKTI) of the Ministry of Education and Culture.
The six students are Ayradiepa Sahadewa Sikken (TI’19), Permata Cinta Ilahi (PWK’19), Daffa Anzunatama (TI’18), Ananda Tazkia Ainayyah (TP’18), Samuel Christian (Arsi’19), and Muhammad Farhan Ardiapratama (Arsi’19). (humasft)
