PT Astra Honda Motor (AHM) donates six motorcycles to The Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Brawijaya (FTUB) which will be used as a medium for student practicums. The handover ceremony was held on May 30, 2022 in the Mechanical Engineering Meeting Room, FTUB.

Present at the event were  Dr.Eng. Ir. Indradi Wijatmiko, ST., M.Eng. (Prac). (Vice Dean for Academic Affairs FTUB), Dr. Purnami, S.T., M.T. (Head of Mechanical Engineering Department), Ahmad Muhibbuddin (General Manager Communication of AHM ), and Faisyal Wahyudiansyah (Chair of the Mechanical Student Association).

“Not only UB, we also donated Honda motorcycles to six other educational institutions,” said Ahmad Muhibbuddin.

The motorcycles which are handed over to UB will later be used by the Apatte62 Brawijaya Energy-Efficient Car Team, the Brawijaya TGK Go-Kart Team, Manufacturing Process Laboratory II, and the Fuel Motor Laboratory of the Mechanical Engineering Department.

“The motorcycle unit grant from PT AHM will be used for research activities either for lecturers and students,” explained Dr. Eng. Indradi.

The Vice Dean, who is also a Civil Engineering Lecturer, continued that students who have interests and talents in the automotive field can implement the knowledge they gain in lectures through this machine.

“With this grant, we hope that friends who are interested in energy-efficient vehicles and go-karts can develop their knowledge and then compete in national and international events such as the Formula Society Automotive Engineer (FSAE),” concluded Faisyal as a student representative.
