The group of students from “Negeri Jiran” was welcomed by faculty and department leaders at the Inbound Student Reception event on Tuesday, August 29, 2023, in the 3rd Floor Meeting Room of the FTUB’s Building.

Present at the ceremonial activity were the Dean, Vice Dean, Head of the Electrical Engineering Department, Secretary of the Electrical Engineering Department, KPS S1 Electrical Engineering, IRO Personnel, Head of Administration Section, and Head of Sub Division.

Hadi Suyono, ST., MT., Ph.D., IPU., ASEAN Eng. in his speech.

Because the program lasts five months or one semester, the professor in the field of power systems engineering and artificial intelligence hopes that Student Mobility Program participants can also learn and understand local traditions and culture.

“Please explore, not only in academic activities, there will also be non-academic activities with our students,” he added.

FKEE’s Dean of Academic and International Honors Prof. Madya Dr. Lukman Hanif Bin Muhammad Audah representing the UTHM delegation said he was impressed with the welcome given by DTE FTUB.

“Thank you for taking care of our student from UTHM. Hopefully, they will be successful with this program and our relationship will get closer, and we can add activities or cooperation programs to make them even closer,” he hoped.

The activity was followed by introductions to each of the participating students. One of the participants, Muhammad Luqman Azim Bin Mohd Ayob, thanked the host for the warm welcome.

“Thank you to UB for the very welcome from our arrival at the airport. The facilities provided are also very good. Alhamdulillah, our lecturers are also very good in class,” he said.

“To the lecturers, thank you for your help. When we got here, we were also often visited by them, so it felt like we had parents here,” added another student, Nur Sabrina Binti Rosnan.

Apart from Luqman and Sabrina, students participating in the Student Mobility Program from UTHM include Joshua Isaac Felix, Jwellbe Mix Mojingkui, and Rafidah Binti Ramli.

After the introductory session, the activity continued with a discussion regarding plans for future cooperation programs between the two parties and closed with a group photo session.
