Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Brawijaya (FT UB) held a healthy walk in celebration of its 60th Anniversary, on Sunday (22/100/2023) with great enthusiasm and festivity. The activity entitled “ Adaptif, Kolaboratif, dan Partisipatif dalam mewujudkan Fakultas Teknik yang Unggul dan Bereputasi ” was attended by hundreds of campus residents and guests.

The peak event of the FT UB Anniversary this time featured various lively activities, one of which was a joint health walk which was attended by hundreds of participants from various university circles, including lecturers, staff and students. This healthy walk is a symbol of togetherness in carrying out the long journey of the UB Faculty of Engineering for 60 years.

The activity started in the morning with participants gathering in the parking area of ​​the UB Faculty of Engineering to carry out group exercises. All participants were given special t-shirts for the 60th Anniversary of FT UB, before starting a healthy walk around the UB campus. While enjoying the beautiful beauty of the campus, participants also had the opportunity to interact with each other, strengthen friendships and chat casually.

Apart from the healthy walk, this event also offers various door prizes which are eagerly awaited by lecturers, staff and students. Various attractive prizes such as smartphones, laptops, bicycles and motorcycle were given to lucky participants. This door prize is not only a form of appreciation for all members of the UB Faculty of Engineering family, but also an encouragement to live a brighter future.

The speech was delivered by the Dean of FT UB, Prof. Ir. Hadi Suyono, S.T., MT., Ph.D., IPU., ASEAN Eng where he expressed his gratitude to all the participants and committee who had contributed in making the 60th Anniversary of FT UB a success.

“We have carried out many activities to celebrate FT UB’s anniversary. Thank you to the entire organizing committee for this year’s anniversary and several partners who have made the healthy walk a success. Hopefully in the future FT will be even better.” explained Prof. Hadi.

In attendance were the Vice Chancellors of UB, namely Prof. Dr. Muchamad Ali Safaat, SH., MH. (Vice Chancellor for Finance and Resources), Dr. Setiawan Noerdajasakti, SH., MH. (Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs, Alumni and Student Entrepreneurship), and Prof. Dr. Unti Ludigdo, SE., M.Si, Ak. (Vice Chancellor for Research and Innovation) who took part in carrying out the healthy walk.

The activity report was also submitted by the committee chairman, Ir. Ismu Rini Dwi Ari, M.T., Ph.D. who is also Deputy Dean for General Affairs, Finance and HR. who reported that around 1000 coupons had been distributed to health walk participants, apart from that there were also vouchers that could be spent.

“This year FT is collaborating with MSMEs by providing various kinds of food that can be enjoyed by all health walk participants, apart from that there are also several snacks for children. Many prizes were prepared at this year’s healthy walk, one of which was the main prize of 2 motorbikes.

Apart from the door prize drawing activity, a cooperation signing activity was also carried out with the East Java Province UMKM Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The hope is that the 60th Engineering Anniversary will also improve MSMEs so they can develop and be more competitive.

The peak event of the 60th Anniversary of FT UB reflects the enthusiasm, togetherness and commitment of the UB Faculty of Engineering in providing the best education and contributing to nation building. Hopefully the Faculty of Engineering, Brawijaya University will continue to develop and become a center of innovation that plays an important role in educational engineering progress in Indonesia.
