The Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Brawijaya (FTUB) is always committed to advancing the institution through strong and competent Human Resources. On October 9, 2013, FTUB opened the IELTS Preparation Course for Assistant Lecturers in the Faculty of Engineering.

This training results from the collaboration between FTUB and Brawijaya Language Center (BLC) UB. Present to open this activity was the Dean of FTUB, Prof. Ir. Hadi Suyono, ST., MT., Ph.D., IPU., ASEAN Eng., accompanied by all Vice-Deans.

“We are collaborating with BLC in the hope that you will all study abroad smoothly,” said Prof. Hadi.

Plt. BLC Director Yusri Fajar, MA., revealed that IELTS is one of the competitions to win international scholarships.

“For Europe, the score is usually 6.5 and above,” said Yusri.

This training, he continued, was to increase English competition for the IELTS exam. This activity will be conducted 40 times face to face from 17 October to 30 November 2023.

Each meeting will take place from 8.30 WIB and end at 12.00 WIB. In around 90 minutes, all skills will be covered, starting from Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking. The pretest will be held on Friday, October 13, 2023.

“Hopefully, by following these preparations, it will be easy and successful for you to go abroad for further study and, of course, then return to strengthen the teaching staff at the Faculty of Engineering,” concluded Yusri. (mic)
