FT UB Together with SIMA Lab Holds Free Health Tests to Commemorate the 60th Anniversary

In commemoration of its 60th anniversary, the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Brawijaya (FT UB) has held a series of events, including an extraordinarily important initiative for the health of lecturers and education staff on campus. In collaboration with SIMA Lab Malang, FT UB held free health tests for all lecturers and educational staff for 2 (two) days, on Monday (16/10/2023) and Tuesday (17/10/2023)

The anniversary which is celebrated this year is a historic moment for FT UB. The Faculty of Engineering, which is renowned for its dedication to education and the development of engineering science, celebrates six decades of success in educating the next generation of quality and contributing to the development of society and the country.

The free health test activity which was held as part of the Anniversary series aims to provide attention to the lecturers and educational staff of FT UB, who have been dedicated to supporting the success of the Faculty of Engineering and its role in producing good graduates and students.

This free health test includes general health checks such as blood pressure, blood sugar, cholesterol and urine tests. Apart from that, participants also received medical consultations provided by a trained medical team from SIMA Lab Malang. This activity aims to ensure that FT UB lecturers and educational staff remain healthy and fit in carrying out their daily duties.

This free health test activity also received high appreciation from the participants. One educational staff argued that they felt appreciated and felt that the faculty cared about their welfare, not only in terms of education, but also in terms of health.

With the positive collaboration between the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Brawijaya and SIMA Lab Malang, this activity is a real example of how universities can play a role in providing direct benefits to their communities, with a focus on health and welfare.

The 60th Anniversary of FT UB, marked by free health testing activities, will be a valuable memory for all involved. This is also proof that FT UB is not only focused on the future of science and technology, but also cares about the welfare of its teaching and administrative staff. Hopefully this kind of collaboration will be an inspiration for other educational institutions to maintain the health and welfare of their employees.[drn]
