FTUB visited Graduate School of Maritime Sciences Kobe University

Delegations from the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Brawijaya (FTUB) visited the Graduate School of Maritime Sciences Kobe University on October 6, 2023.

This visit is an extension of research collaboration between Nailah Firdausiyah, S.T., M.T., M.Sc., Ph.D. (Dept. Urban & Regional Planning/PWK) and Dr. Enna Hirata, associate professor from Kobe University’s Graduate School of Maritime Sciences.

Each party introduced their respective organizations, educational programs, and curricula during the meeting. Apart from that, both parties also discussed various opportunities for organizing double degree programs for master’s students.

The two parties also intend to immediately sign a cooperation agreement in the fields of academics, joint research, student exchange, etc.

FTUB delegates are Prof. Hadi Suyono (Dean), Dr.Eng. Indradi Wijatmiko (Vice Dean for Academic Affairs), Dr. Herry Santosa (Vice Dean for Student Affairs, Alumni, and students ENterpreneurship), Dr. I Nyoman Suluh Wijaya (Head of PWK Department), Dr. Christia Meidiana (Head of Postgraduate Programs, PWK), and Dr. Septiana Hariyani (Head of Undergraduate Programs, PWK).

The hosts who attended this meeting included Prof. Katsutoshi Hirayama (Vice Dean of the Graduate School of Maritime Sciences), Prof. Haruo Mimura (Committee person of International Exchange), and Associate Prof. Enna Hirata.

“Hopefully, this will be the start of sustainable collaboration and will provide a reproxically positive contribution involving both students and teaching staff so that it can improve the performance of the FT and departments, especially the Master’s Program, and increase the key performance indicators (IKU) of the faculty,” the Dean hope.
