Ceremonial Signing of MoA FT UB with College of Engineering NYCU Taiwan

Wednesday, November 15, 2023, the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Brawijaya (FT UB) received a visit from the National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University (NYCU) Taiwan in the Leadership Meeting Room, 3rd Floor, FT UB Dean’s Building and carried out the MoA Signing Ceremony. This visit from NYCU includes Dr. Albert T. Yeung (Director of International Affairs); Dr. Lua Kim Boon; Dr. and several staff from NYCU.

The leadership of the Deanery and Departments at FT UB warmly received the NYCU delegation. The event began with a variety from the Dean of FT UB, Prof. Ir. Hadi Suyono, S.T., MT., Ph.D., IPU., ASEAN Eng. who expressed appreciation for the presence of NYCU delegates and enthusiasm for strengthening relations between the two universities. Dr Albert, the NYCU group’s representative, also expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome during their visit to FT UB.

The essence of this visit was the signing of a cooperation agreement between FT-UB and NYCU. This agreement covers many areas, including Student Exchange (inbound/outbound, Exchange Professor, 3 in 1 Program, Short/Summer Courses, Dual Degree Programs, Guest Lectures, International Conferences, and OBE Knowledge Sharing. This signing marks essential steps in building bridges and academically enriching the learning experience of lecturers to students at both universities.

“This collaboration is a very positive and strategic step. We hope to build strong synergy in facing global challenges and increase the academic capacity of both universities,” explained Dr. Albert

The activity continued with a presentation of the profiles of each university, starting with the NYCU profile explained by Dr. Albert T. Yeung, then continued with the introduction of the FT UB profile delivered by Prof. Hadi.

It is hoped that the collaboration between FT-UB and NYCU will open up new opportunities for students and teaching staff to access broader international resources and experiences, enrich the curriculum, and produce innovative joint research. [drn]
