Thursday (7/12/2023) Professors or Professors at the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Brawijaya (FT UB) increased again, 3 (three) lecturers have officially been confirmed as Professors. In total, there are currently 25 active Professors/Professors at the UB Faculty of Engineering. The three professors, namely Prof. Dr. Eng. Donny Harisuseno, S.T., M.T (1); Prof. Dr. Ir. Femiana Gapsari, S.T., M.T (2); and Prof. Dr. Slamet Wahyudi, S.T., M.T (3).

Located in the Samantha Krida Building, UB has inaugurated 354 Professors, with a total of 195 active. Prof. Donny is listed as the 23rd active professor at the Faculty of Engineering and the 193rd at UB. Prof. Femiana is listed as the 24th active professor at the Faculty of Engineering and the 194th at UB. Lastly, Prof. Slamet Wahyudi is listed as the 25th active professor at the Faculty of Engineering and 195th at UB.

The scientific oration delivered by Prof. Donny is the Hybrid-G2I (Green-Gray Infrastructure) System: A Rainwater Runoff Management Based on Water Conservation. Second, Prof. Femiana conveyed Composite Nano Technology from Organic Waste (TKO) as a Metal Corrosion Inhibitor. Third Prof. Slamet Wahyudi conveyed Microwave Ablation (TMA) Technology as a Bioheat Generator for Killing Cancer Cells.

The next speech was delivered by the Chairman of the University Senate, Prof. Dr. Ir. Nuhfil Hanani AR. He said that today’s inauguration of professors is an honor and happiness for the entire UB academic community because they have inaugurated professors together.

“Happy! especially to the Faculty of Engineering which today received 3 new professors directly. “The scientific orations delivered by all the professors were related to technology, this indicates that future research is very closely related and linked to technological innovation in each field and department at the Faculty of Engineering,” explained Prof. Nuhfil.

Meanwhile, UB Chancellor, Prof. Widodo, S.Si., M.Sc., Ph.D.Med.Sc, took the opportunity to congratulate the 4 professors who had been inaugurated, all of whom had research with high indexes. He hopes that the professors who have been inaugurated can become trend centers for technological development not only in Indonesia but also in the world, as well as how researchers in Indonesia can advance culture in Indonesia so that it is known worldwide.[drn]
