Wednesday (20/3/2024) In order to enliven the holy month of Ramadhan this year, the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Brawijaya (FT UB) held a Creative Idea Presentation Contest with the theme “Prospering the Al Hadiid Mosque”. This competition was initiated within the framework of the Safari Ramadhan 1445 H, which aims to encourage student creativity in improving the quality and blessings of worship at the Al Hadiid Mosque.

Participated by various teams from each department, this competition is part of FT UB’s efforts to support religious activities on campus and provide a platform for students to contribute to the prosperity of places of worship. Competition participants are invited to propose creative ideas that can be implemented to improve religious activities and the welfare of the people at the Al Hadiid Mosque.

Ir. Redi Bintarto, ST., M.Eng.Pract. as the coordinator of the Safari Ramadhan 1445 Hijri competition, said in his opening that the main aim of this competition was to stimulate students’ creative and innovative thinking in contributing ideas that were useful for the development of mosques as centers of religious activities.

“We hope that this competition can become a vehicle for students to make real contributions through the ideas they have with the aim of improving the quality of worship and service, especially at the Al Hadiid Mosque,” he said.

Contestants will be judged based on the originality, creativity and implementation potential of the ideas they submit. Apart from that, participants are also expected to be able to prepare comprehensive and detailed proposals regarding the concept of the ideas they are offering. After the participants appeared one by one, the winner of this competition was finally determined, where the team from the Department of Electrical Engineering came out as first place, then second place was won by a team from Department of Urban & Regional Planning, and third place was won by a team from the Departement of Civil Engineering.

With this Creative Idea Presentation Competition, it is hoped that more innovative ideas can be implemented to enrich religious activities and make the Al Hadiid Mosque prosperous as a center of worship and religious activities within the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Brawijaya.[drn]
