The Department of Industrial Engineering (DTI) at the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Brawijaya (FT UB), held a guest lecture on Thursday, June 6, 2024, in the Auditorium on the 6th floor of the Industrial Engineering Building.

The guest lecture, themed “Improving Industrial Efficiency Through Business Innovation Based on Digital Transformation,” featured Dr.-Ing. Mohamad Fauzan Amir, Operation Manager for Storage & Transportation at SKK Migas, and Rezy Afdhal, Deputy Head of Digital Transformation at Kahf and Biodef PT. Paragon Technology and Innovation.

Digital transformation and the implementation of Industry 4.0 concepts have become essential in an increasingly competitive business environment.

There is a need for industry professionals to continuously innovate and transform. Achieving high efficiency must be accompanied by various innovative business breakthroughs.

In this guest lecture, Dr.-Ing. Mohamad Fauzan Amir and Rezy Afdhal discussed how business innovation based on digital transformation can enhance industrial efficiency.

The event was attended not only by students from the Faculty of Engineering but also by students from the Faculties of Science, Administrative Sciences, and Cultural Studies.

Through the presentations, students were expected to gain up-to-date knowledge about various business innovations based on digital transformation.

This knowledge is crucial for achieving industrial efficiency improvements in the future.

The interactions and discussions during the lecture opened opportunities for collaboration between students, faculty, and industry practitioners. This is expected to inspire students to apply the concepts they have learned to real-world scenarios.

With this guest lecture, the Head of the Department of Industrial Engineering FT UB, Ir. Sugiono, ST., MT., Ph.D., hopes to produce innovative, creative, and solution-oriented young professionals.

“Students are expected to contribute to solving various industrial problems by leveraging technology and business innovation based on digital transformation,” he concluded.
