Civil Engineering Department UB Again, Welcomes UTHM Students for Mobility Program

Civil eng Student InboundThe Civil Engineering Department,  Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Brawijaya (FTUB), welcomed inbound students from the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Built Environment (FKAAB), Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia, on Friday, July 19, 2024, as part of the Student Mobility Program.

For ten weeks, from July 22 to September 28, 2024, these inbound students from UTHM will undergo Students Industrial Training or Field Work Practice at various institutions or partners designated by UB.

We also want them to gain technical experience and immerse themselves in the local culture, especially in Malang,” said the Dean of FTUB, Prof. Ir. Hadi Suyono, S.T., M.T., Ph.D., IPU., ASEAN Eng.

The accompanying lecturer from UTHM, Prof. Madya. Dr. Nor Hazurina Othman, expressed her gratitude to FTUB, especially the Civil Engineering Department, for facilitating the Student Industrial Training Program over the next ten weeks.

Civil Eng Student Inbound from UTHM Reception “I hope they gain and share valuable experiences, particularly in exploring the field of Civil Engineering. Such experiences are very valuable and not all students get this opportunity,” she said.

The Head of the Civil Engineering Department at FTUB, Ir. Eko Andi Suryo, ST., MT., Ph.D., advised the inbound students to not hesitate to reach out if they need assistance. He also mentioned that the department has facilitated supervisors from both the department and industry to ensure the program runs smoothly.

UTHM Inbound 2024“We also advise participants to always prioritize safety both in project areas and outside academic activities. While construction and safety procedures may be similar, inbound students might need to adapt to the local culture and environment,” he added.

The students participating in the Student Industrial Training Program from UTHM are Elias Zubair Bin Zulfa Asri, Muhammad Fahizan Bin Safrisal, Abdul Aziz Bin Maryani, Nurul Izzah Fatihah Binti Zulkifli, and Nur Awadah Binti Abd Latip. (mic)
