FT UB Receives a Visit from Students from the Faculty of Engineering, Sang Bumi Ruwa Jurai University

Kunjungan Mahasiswa SaburaiOn Tuesday, July 30, 2024, the Faculty of Engineering at Brawijaya University (FT UB) hosted a visit from fifth-semester students from the Faculty of Engineering at Sang Bumi Ruwa Jurai University (Saburai) in the Prof. Ir. Suryono Auditorium.

A total of 60 students from the Civil Engineering and Mechanical Engineering programs at Saburai University were accompanied by six lecturers. Led by Ir. Fery Hendi Jaya, ST, MT, IPM, ASEAN Eng, the Dean, the group included Ir Ambar Pambudi ST MT, Ir Sari Utama Dewi ST MT IPM, Nelti Lita SH CPCLE, Ir M Enriko Tosulpa ST MT, Andri Maulana SKom MT, and Mia Andani SKom.

“Our visit here aims to enhance human resources (HR) and deepen the course material we have studied so far,” said Ir. Fery Hendi Jaya in his speech.

Sambutan Dekan SaburaiThe group was warmly welcomed by Vice Dean 3 of FT UB, Dr.Eng. Ir. Herry Santosa, ST, MT, IPM, along with representatives from all FT UB departments, particularly Civil and Mechanical Engineering.

Sambutan Wakil Dekan FTUBIn his speech, Dr. Herry mentioned that field visits are an essential part of the learning process. Students can see and directly experience the application of theories they have studied in class.

This activity not only provides invaluable practical experience but also broadens students’ insights and expands their knowledge about the real-world engineering industry.

The event continued with presentation sessions providing in-depth explanations on subjects relevant to the students’ fields of study. The speakers for Civil Engineering were Ir. Eko Andi Suryo, ST, MT, PhD, and for Mechanical Engineering, Teguh Dwi Widodo, ST, MEng, PhD.

The students were enthusiastic throughout the event and actively interacted with the speakers. This activity is expected to offer valuable practical insights and field experiences for the students.
